Cervical Screening

Women are encouraged to take a pap test every 5 years. This is applicable to women who are between 25 to 75 years of age. Cervical screening is done to pick up signs of irregularities that could lead to cervical cancer If it is not treated. For those of you who have had the HPV (Gardasil) vaccine, you will still need to have done Cervical Screening. For any patient under 25yrs of age who wish to have the test will have to pay for the test as it cannot be Bulk Billed to Medicare.
